Tristan Da Cunha & Frenchy - Disco Till I Die Mix June 2013

Track artwork

Two of my Personal fave DJ'S...seen them shed loads of times often outshing the guests at Basics & Mad Hatters...scanning many genders & there Throwing Shapes Radio show is off the chain...this is what they had to say about the mix.

We're very proud to present the first mix from Tristan Da Cunha and Frenchy under their Disco Till I Die guise. Recorded in one take live from Waxwerks the boys bring you 70 mins of modern disco & tastefully done edits that just give it that extra lick to make them more dancefloor friendly without being disrespectful to the originals.
Disco Till I Die is a bi-monthly party at The Garage which so far has seen Greg Wilson and Maurice Fulton play, with Chris Duckenfield aka Popular People's next up on Sat 29th of June. The parties have been an instant hit and have proved so popular we're taking the show on the road. Upcoming Disco Till I Die gigs to check out are:-
Friday 21st June: Horse and Groom, London
Saturday: 29th of June: Waterfront Festival disco all dayer followed by DTID at The Garage with Chris Duckenfield eveing party at The Garage, Leeds
Sunday 25th of August: Faversham Garden Party, Leeds.

Mr Scruff & Floating Points DJ set from Plastic People, Sat 25 June 2011

I haven't been keeping up to this again. Who cares no reads this really its just a glorified catalogue of some great mixes to be honest! On a serious note i will be keeping up to this alot more as i feel like i'm getting back int he game & pick the headphones up a lot more than i used to. Keep em peeled for some big announcements over the next few weeks regarding the Slow Cookin' "brand" & some other happening in the Huddersfield area. Ethan McNamara-February 2013 Promo Mix

Ethan McNamara

If your from Leeds or the surrounding areas & you ain't heard of Ethan, where have you been??

I first met Ethan when he came to play at my old monthly Le Bloc a few years back, where we had to sneak him in as he was at the tender age of 17. We booked him through a recommendation of a friend of a friend.Let me tell you now......

Not many people can follow Junia Ovadose on the decks but Ethan stood up & made himself known & literally blew us all away. Even seasoned house heads were standing in owe at his knowledge wel ahead of his years in house. Since that party he has gone onto be part of the Tomorrow Audio crew(a great bunch), Played at various clubs such as The Garage, Mint & Attic. Everywhere he has played he has been man of the match in my opinion.

Keep an eye out for the this lad.He is surrounded by a great bunch, has the knowledge, Mixing ability’s & drive

How can he fail????

Doug Lazy - Let the rhythm pump (dotts deeper mix)

Sorry ive not posted for a while as i've been having a break from music & concentrating on been an adult(decorating the house, chilling with me woman & indulging xmas etc etc. So anyow i heard this the other day & liked so much I wanted to share it & what better way to kick off the blog in 2013!!

Dotts is a friend of mine now, we met through mutual & even more mutual friends. He’s a dude that’s been there from day one  hanging around with know DJS now & repsected DJS of the past but is not bothered about telling you about it every time you see him unlike others who send me to sleep with exaggerated stories & “you wasn’t there tales”. He once told me in conversation that he really fell out with music for a while(late 90's early 00's) & has only recently really started to enjoy it again, this is due to his family commitment’s changing, Daughter getting a little older & Lots of rain. Rain is good for Dotts as he is a builder by trade & rain means no work & no work means Production time. Dotts is a production machine of late(I’m getting a link to an edit, remixes, new track almost daily). He’s done loads that cut the cloth but this is the one that has stood out to me most of all.

Enjoy

P.S IF ITS BEEN RAINING CHECK HIS SOUNDCLOUD THE DAY AFTER.!
